Wallpaper: A Decorative Paper for the Walls of Rooms
I came home last Thursday evening, opting to travel on a day where travel was not advised. A huge low pressure system centered itself over Minnesota on Thursday and ended up causing a lot of snow to fall and, in addition, some really gusty winds in the region I was coming home from.
I still made it to see the Holiday Train in Elbow Lake, even though the roads getting there were quite icy and the wind was blowing snow around at over 30 miles per hour. As if that wasn’t bad enough, though, the battery on my new camera that was just half-charged to begin with decided to die completely in the cold weather, leaving me with only my old camera to take pictures with. Nevertheless, I got this:
Despite the brutal wind chill, the entire event was still pretty fun. Quite a lot of people turned out to see the entertainment perform in the boxcar-turned-into-a-stage that was parked on the town’s only railroad crossing. I also saw many people brining food to donate to the Grant County Food Shelf, so that’s a good thing, since helping out local food shelves is the whole purpose behind the train anyway.
Normally by this time of year, I would have posted some Christmas-themed wallpaper to decorate your computer’s desktop. I didn’t get around to doing that this year, partly because I wasn’t motivated enough and partly because, up until my vacation started last week, I was pretty busy.
Nevertheless, to make up for the lack of Christmas wallpaper, I thought I would post a set of 13 pictures that can be downloaded and used as wallpaper. You could consider these the pictures I would use in putting together a calendar featuring my photography. There would be 13 photos, of course, since there would have to be something on the cover.

I won’t leave you without any Christmas wallpaper, however. Here are three wallpapers to go along with the festive time of year. While the last two wallpapers are recycled from ones that I posted last Christmas, the first wallpaper featuring the nutcrackers was taken earlier this morning with my new Digital Rebel XT.
